Know What That Label Means?
Universal symbols may have different meanings in different
cultures. A drawing of a man behind a desk was interpreted
by some as a person without legs, for whom the observers
felt great sorrow. The next picture showed the man behind
the desk sacking a worker. The observers were still
concerned about the missing legs. What if the symbol
means do not eat but it is interpreted as eatable?
