Summary of the Notification of the Ministry of Interior Re: Safety of Work in Construction: Construction Sites

1. Intention of the Law
   To ensure safety for construction workers and unrelated persons by means of specifying construction areas and danger zones.



2. Framework and Enforcement of the Law
   To have effect on all construction work except the construction of structures no more than 7 meters tall to be used for the constructor's own dwelling.



3. Main Points of the Law
   This Ministerial Notification imposes control over the specifying of construction areas, danger zones, the use of the construction area as a dwelling place and the night-time entry into construction areas by requiring conformity to the following.



1. Construction areas must be clearly fenced off with signs marking the zone on all sides.
2. Danger areas must be clearly designated with signs and night-time red flashing lights.
3. The entry of unauthorized personnel into the danger area is prohibited.
4. Workers are forbidden from living in unfinished construction structures.
5. Workers are not to enter construction structures or construction areas outside of work time unless granted permission by the employer.
